【Narita Airport Transfer Guide】How to Get to Departure Lobby from JR or Keisei Line

There are 3 terminals in Narita Airport:
Terminal 1
Terminal 2
Terminal 3

JR Line and Keisei Line extend to Narita Airport.
I will show you in detail how to get to each Departure Lobby from these stations.

How to get to Departure Lobby in Terminal 1

The closest station of both JR and Keisei Line is named ‘Narita Airport Stationin’ Terminal1

How do you get to the Lobby from this station ?

  • Go up the escalator.
  • When you arrive by Keisei Line, there are 2 kind of ways to go out.
  • Those who use Keisei Main Line will go through the first Ticket Gate.
  • Be sure to pick up your ticket.
  • Then, those who ride on Access Express or Skyliner will join you.
  • On your left side, there is JR Line concourse.
  • Exit the Ticket Gate.
  • On the left-hand side, there id the JR ticket gate.
  • Walk straight.
  • You will find the signboard : go to your right.
  • Go up the escalator.
  • At the top of the escalator, turn left, and then you will go to South Wing.
  • Turn right, then you will go to North Wing.
  • Take the escalator or the elevator and go up.
  • Departure Lobby is 4F.
  • It takes about 4 min to walk from the ticket gate.

These cars are convenient for you to get off

Passengers who arrive by Keisei Line
Keisei Skyliner

Get off Car No. 6.
Go up the escalator.

Get off Car No. 7.
Take the elevator to go up.

Keisei Access Express

Get off the 4th car from the front.
Take the escalator or elevator to go up.

Keisei Main Line(via Funabashi station)

Get off the first car.
Go up the escalator.

Get off the second car from the front.
Take the elevator to go up.

Passengers who arrive by JR Line(Japan Railways)

15 or 11-car train

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 9,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 8,
Take the elevator to go up.

Narita Express(12-car train)

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 10,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 9,
Take the elevator to go up.

When you get off the door in the very front of Car No. 6,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

How to get to Departure Lobby of Terminal 2

The closest station of both JR and Keisei Line is named ‘Airport Terminal 2 Station’ in Terminal 2

How do you get to the Lobby from the station ?

  • Go up the escalator.
  • When you arrive by Keisei Line, there are 2 kind of ways to go out.
  • Those who use Keisei Main Line will go through the first Ticket Gate.
  • Be sure to pick up your ticket at this time.
  • Go out the second Ticket Gate right on your right.
  • Those who come by Skyliner would only go out this gate.
  • Exit and take a left.
  • You will enter the concourse and turn left.
  • There are JR ticket gates on the left side.
  • Walk for a while, then you will see the signboard.
  • If you go straight, there are elevators.
  • If you take a left, there is the escalator.
  • Try the escalator.
  • Go up the first escalator to 1F.
  • On the left-hand side, take the second escalator and go up to 2F.
  • Take the last escalator and go up to 3F.
  • Passengers by bus will join us.
  • There is the signboard.
  • Here we are at Departure Lobby.
  • North Group is on the left side.
  • South Group is on the right side.
  • Restaurant Area is on 4F.
  • It takes about 5 min to walk from the station gate.

Get off Car No. 6.
Go up the escalator.

Get off Car No. 7.
Take the elevator to go up.

Keisei Access Express

Get off the 4th car from the front.
Take the escalator or elevator to go up.

Keisei Main Line(via Funabashi station)

Get off the first car.
Go up the escalator.

Get off the second car from the front.
Take the elevator to go up.

Passengers who arrive by JR Line(Japan Railways)

15-car train

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 7,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 3,
Take the elevator to go up.

11-car train

When you get off the door in the front of Car No. 9,
Go up the escalator.

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 6,
Go up the escalator.

Narita Express(12-car train)

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 10,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

When you get off the door in the back of Car No. 9,
Take the elevator to go up.

When you get off the door in the very front of Car No. 6,
Go up the stairs or escalator.

How to Get to Terminal 3

The closest station of Terminal 3 is ‘Airport Terminal 2 Station’ in Terminal 2

Part of the way to go to Terminal 3 is just the same as Terminal 2

  • I will introduce the direction from this shot of signboard.
  • Turn left and you will find the escalator.
  • Go up the first escalator to 1F.
  • Do not go up to2F and go outside.
  • Follow the signboard and walk along the building.
  • There is a Koban(police box) near Bus Stop No.6
  • Bus Stop for the shuttle bus bound for Terminal 3
  • On the right hand side, there is a passageway for those who go on foot .
  • Buses are operated every 3 to 6 min.
  • Ride time is 3 min to Terminal 3.
  • It takes about 7 min to come from the station gate.

Summary

Those who come by JR only use one Ticket Gate.
So, don’t worry about Exit problem.

In case of arriving by Keisei Line,
Keisei Skyliner
Keisei Access Express
Those who come by these two lines will go out only one ticket gate.

Those who come by the other Local Lines,
you have to go through ticket gates twice.
Please don’t forget to pick up your ticket for the first time.
